I've been tagged by Jennifer for this meme.  I've recently done a similar meme so I may repeat myself.  Forgive me.

Six non-important things about me:

1.  I'm VERY superstitious.  The few people who know me IRL will tell you that I cannot split poles.  I'll walk a mile to avoid splitting a pole.  For those of you who aren't aware of this superstition, splitting a pole while walking with someone signifies that something will come between you and that person.  I also must make the sign of the cross when I see a dead animal on the side of the road.  If I don't do this I feel that the animal's soul will not have a peaceful journey and it haunts me.  Ugghh!!!  I wish I could be free of this.  This superstition also drove me to buy the Zuni bear charm for my bracelet because of it's supposed protective powers.

2.  I love sparkly things.  When I was younger I would go to Hancock fabrics with my mother and buy the little packets of gems and metal brackets and afix them to anything that wasn't moving.  This was before the bedazzler so you had to push the metal bracket through the fabric and then push down the metal prongs with a spoon.  I would do this until my hands bled. 

3.  I cry way too easily.  Commercials make me cry.  I'm not one of those people who cry at work like some sort of sympathy whore, but I mean cry at cheesy movies type crying.  The waterworks also go off for pet commercials. 

4.  I love to watch QVC and HSN.  Not to buy things but just to watch them sell things.  I just love how they lay it on thick.  I love to watch them sell turquoise pedal pushers in size 4X like it is haute couture.  I can watch it for hours.

5.   Once in jr. high I played a Ouija board and was then convinced that I had "spiritual entrapment" and that an evil demon was inhabiting my body.  I never did drive that demon out.

6.  I like to horde things.  It gives me a high.  I like knowing that when the, "the shit goes down", I wont run out of deodorant.  I think it is a holdback from my hunter/gatherer days when we were programmed to stockpile things.  I cycle the things that I horde.  TP is a favorite and so is bar soap.  This reminds me of a favorite bumper sticker I once saw.  You've all seen the sticker, "When the rapture comes this car will be unmanned" right? Well I saw one that says, "When the rapture comes I'm stealing your car!"  LMAO!!

No title.

I've been gone for a while and been a bad blogger.  I've had a lot on my mind lately.  When I took Andy in for his four month check-up, my pediatrician referred him to a pediatric neurosurgeon for his misshapen head.  It is VERY flat on the back and on one side.  Andy has been sleeping 8 hours since he was about two months old and I think it has flattened his head.  We put him on tummy time, sit him in his bebe pod and exersaucer, and give him lots of "lap-time".  I feel so defensive.

We have been dealing with scheduling issues too.  The next available time is in the first week of March.  That is just too late.  We are calling another pediatric neurosurgeon to see if we can get bumped up.  I am resigned to the fact that there is a good possibility he may be in a shaping helmet.  Some days I accept it, other days I get pissed off.  I don't want people staring at my child.  I don't want him to be unable to sleep or be uncomfortable.  I keep telling myself it is no big deal.  Yet I'm so worried this is just the beginning of something.

I have been granted permission from Sara (from the Island) to rant. Normally I do it anyway, but this time I can do it with a clean conscious. This list is bound to offend some of my readers. I’m sorry. But if a girl can’t grip about stuff on her blog, what’s the flippin’ point in having one? The point of this meme is to list things that make you mad or that you just don’t get.

 

1. I hate people who give written directions in long sentences. Just say L on Mockingbird, R on Cardinal. You don’t have to freakin describe the vegetation of the area and such. And I really hate it when people say,  “turn before you see the ‘X’. Hey dumb ass, if I’m supposed to turn BEFORE I see it, how will I know to turn?
2. People with those bumper stickers that show what sports Madison and Tyler play. I don’t mind a few, but does the entire back window of your Expedition need to be covered in them? (ok, just pissed off that you have more living children than me is all)
3. I hate it when skinny women tell you how much weight they have gained. I really hate it when skinny women say, “I feel so fat today”. Are they just trying to make me feel bad? Next time I’m going to return fire with fire. I’m going to say, “I feel  like my diamond ring is so small today”. For those of you who don’t know me, I have a gynormous diamond. I did not just write that to brag about my diamond, but for you to understand where I’m going with that statement. Then I want to sit  back and watch them look at their smaller ring and feel inadequate. Cause that’s how I feel when they gripe about gaining two whopping pounds.
4. This is the last one, I promise….. I don’t get people who don’t nap, including my husband. How could you not want to nap? It’s the most wonderful thing. I’d choose napping over food and sex ANY day. Have you ever seen that Garfield cartoon about napping? It shows Garfield sleeping and he has a dream bubble. In the dream bubble he is dreaming about sleeping. That’s how I feel about napping.

Edited because my first thing was just mean.   I don't want to add fuel to the  stay at home vs. work outside the home mamas.  We are all mamas after all.  Although I hate to do that 'cause now I won't likely offend anyone.  Bummer.
